The Arctic Fox
The Arctic fox is a small fox, that you can find in the Northern Hemisphere. This animal that is smaller than the native fox has evolved itself to live in extremely frigid conditions. The Arctic fox can weigh up to 4 kg and reach a head to body length of 55 cm.
American Mink
The American Mink is an small mammal that is closely related to the weasel, Mostly found in the northern regions if America, but it can also be found in Iceland's Skaftafell. Their diet consist out of small mammals and fish, their predators are wolves, owls and foxes.
Birds
There are a lot of different birds to be found in the National Park Skaftafell, in the natural birch woods of the park you can spot the pipit, the redwing, the common snape and many other birds.
